Yard of the Month
The Harrisburg Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to present a Yard of the Month program for the community of Harrisburg! The Board of Directors hopes this is an incentive to be used for promoting community pride through the look and design of yards throughout the city.

The Yard of the Month program will run annually from May through December. The Harrisburg Garden Club will supply judges each month and report their results back the Chamber.
October will be nominated on Halloween, November will be nominated on Harvest/Fall and December will be nominated for Best Holiday Display.
This program is for residential properties within the city limits of Harrisburg. Every homeowner within the city limits is invited to participate. See guidelines below:
Criteria
A. Yard Maintenance
• Healthy lawn, neatly mowed and edged
• Pruned and trimmed shrubs and trees
• Healthy plants
• Minimal weeds in flower beds
• Yard free of debris and clutter
B. Design and Landscaping
• Use of color and/or texture
• Creative, unique, curb appeal
• Overall aesthetic appeal, an inspiration
to others in the neighborhood
